Q: What type of fundraiser should I host? 

A: DIY Fundraisers are as varied and unique as the hosts themselves! Let your passions and interests guide you; the best fundraisers are those that reflect the organizers or those you may be hosting the fundraiser to celebrate or remember. Choose a fundraiser that excites you! 

We have been the beneficiary of a wide variety of creative fundraisers, including, but not limited to the following: 

  • Golf tournaments-Basketball tournaments-College basketball brackets 
  • Walks, runs & rides-School fundraisers -Dinners & auctions 
  • Barbeques & tailgates-Workplace fundraisers-Virtual fundraisers 

Q: Do I need to register my fundraiser with the V Foundation? 

A: No, but we strongly recommend you do. Registering will grant you access to a customizable webpage and make it easy to share your fundraiser on social media. This page will serve as a central hub of information and will allow donors to give directly to your fundraiser.  

Q: Do I have to pay to host a fundraiser? 

A: No! Registering your fundraiser with us comes at no cost. 

Q: Can I have access to the V Foundation logo for my fundraiser? 

A: Yes. Fundraisers are permitted to use the benefiting logos provided in the DIY Toolkit

Q: Can a V Foundation representative come to my fundraiser? 

A: We are fortunate to have committed people like yourself who host fundraisers each year to benefit the V Foundation. While we wish we could be at all fundraisers, unfortunately, it is not feasible. We are available by phone and email to help you host a successful fundraiser.

Q: I need a fundraising page with the ability for others to register their own pages within my fundraiser. 

A: Please email us prior to registering at DIYFundraisers@v.org.  

Q: I received a check or money order. Where do I mail it? 

A: Checks and money orders should be made payable to the V Foundation and be accompanied by the Offline Donation Form or Money Order Form. Please mail to:

Q: How long will it take for an offline donation to be added to my fundraiser? 

A: If a donation has been mailed to the V Foundation but has not been credited to your fundraising total within three weeks, please email DIYFundraisers@v.org. Please note, all donations will be shown publicly unless noted on the offline donation form.

Q: How do I connect my Fundraising Page with a Facebook Fundraiser? 

A: You must first be a registered fundraiser with us. To connect with a Facebook Fundraiser, log in to your Participant Center, and click to connect with Facebook. Accept Facebook’s permissions, and your new Facebook Fundraiser is created!
