Research Is The Only Way to Achieve Victory Over Cancer®

Firefighters are at an increased risk of certain cancers due to carcinogen exposure while on the job.

That’s why Rex and Krista Hughes and the teams at Emergency Technical Decon and Emergent, a Fire and EMS software, have teamed up with the V Foundation for Cancer Research to create a fund dedicated to improving the lives of firefighters and their families through cutting-edge cancer research. This research fund focuses specifically on cancers that disproportionately affect firefighters and awards research grants to world-class scientists who are studying these cancer types.
