Lionel "Hap" Metivier

As family and friends of Hap, we celebrate and remember his life. 

We have chosen to designate donations to the V Foundation for Cancer Research because it has affected our family and many people close to Hap. Although he survived the Battle of the Bulge and the many hardships as a young man in WWII, he also faced a battle with cancer later in life. Through his own experience and through the loss of both brothers and a niece to cancer, he understood the devastating consequences of the disease and the need to keep on fighting to find a cure.

Being a family of big college basketball fans, we always admired Jimmy V. and his inspirational speech. By choosing this page we’re hoping in small part to support his vision to eradicate cancer. 

Thank you for standing beside us, for remembering Hap, and for considering a gift to the V Foundation in his memory.
