Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I am excited to support the V Foundation for Cancer Research, an organization committed to declaring Victory Over Cancer®.
We have all felt the sting of cancer. Breast cancer, pancreatic cancer, multiple myeloma, leukemia, colon cancer- you name it. Some of you/your loved ones continue to fight while others have lost the battle. This fundraiser was started after our Tio Tony passed away at 43 years old in 2009 from esophageal cancer. His nieces and nephews needed to do something. The V Foundation was chosen because 100% of every penny donated goes directly to cancer research and programs- no money goes to overhead. Since The V Foundation was founded in 1993, nearly $290 million has been raised to fund cutting edge research for adults and children. Thanks to your support, we have been able to raise just over $45,000. We are hoping to break $50,000 this year!

About the V Foundation for Cancer Research
The V Foundation for Cancer Research was founded in 1993 by ESPN and the late Jim Valvano, legendary North Carolina State University basketball coach and ESPN commentator. The Foundation has funded nearly $290 million in cancer research grants nationwide. The V Foundation awards 100 percent of direct donations to cancer research and related programs. The V Foundation’s endowment covers administrative expenses. The Foundation awards peer-reviewed grants through a competitive award process strictly supervised by a Scientific Advisory Committee.
