 50 State MarathonerThank you for visiting my fundraising page. For the past 22 years, I have been battling to cross the finish line of a marathon in all 50 states. On June 22, 2024, I finally crossed the finish line in the Anchorage Mayor's Marathon. I accomplished my goal of running a marathon in all 50 states! Thank you for all your support, prayers, and for many of you, donating to this wonderful and important organization!

The story of Jim Valvano's battle in fighting cancer has always inspired me. His famous quote, "Don't give up. Don't ever give up.  And that's what I'm going to try to do every minute that I have left."  Those words are ones that we should all live by!

About the V Foundation for Cancer Research

The V Foundation for Cancer Research is dedicated to declaring Victory Over Cancer®.  The Foundation was founded in 1993 by ESPN and the late Jim Valvano, legendary North Carolina State University basketball coach and ESPN commentator.  The Foundation has funded over $353 million in cancer research grants nationwide.  It awards 100% of all direct cash donations to cancer research and related programs.  Due to generous donors, the Foundation has an endowment that covers administrative expenses.  The Foundation awards peer-reviewed grants through a competitive awards process vetted by a Scientific Advisory Committee.
