Support Me

I’ve been involved with the V Foundation since 2020 when I first learned of the Victory Ride. I’d felt helpless after finding out my husband, Ed, has cancer, and the Victory Ride helped fill a need to do something to help. It’s been an amazing experience to learn, meet, and give. In the 3 years since, with fabulous support from friends, family, and perfect strangers, I’ve raised over $19,000 for the V Foundation. And, boy, I tell you, there’s an incredible feeling that comes with making a difference.

When I was recently presented with an opportunity to join friends on a long distance bike ride, I knew it would be a challenge. I also know that the challenges cancer fighters face are far greater. I can’t climb the mountain for them - I can’t take their blood draws, or sit in for them for a chemo treatment, or take away their nausea and fatigue. But I can make some noise for cancer research. I can raise awareness and funds to help advance technology, and, hopefully, along the way, I can make someone’s day brighter or give someone hope.

So, the bike ride? From June 19 to 27, my friends and I will be taking on the Empire State Trail from Buffalo, New York, to NYC - 535 miles. My goal is to raise $5350, $10 per mile. I’ll be digging deep and relying on good weather, encouragement, and a lot of determination.

The research funded by the V Foundation is critical. By making a donation you will be supporting carefully vetted, cutting-edge research at prominent cancer centers nationwide. Will you join me in the fight against cancer by donating today?

Please share. The more people we reach, the more we can all help to save lives.

“A person really doesn’t become whole, until he becomes a part of something that’s bigger than himself.”
