Phi Gamma Delta, Rho Alpha chapter of Virginia Tech has the honor of partnering with a UVA fraternity in a unique tradition: the Football Ball Run for Jimmy V foundation for Cancer Research. On November 11th, we will run the ball halfway to Lynchburg, V.A., where it will be handed off to our UVA counterparts. They will complete the journey, delivering the ball to Charlottesville, V.A., for the game between Virginia Tech and UVA on November 25th.

This event is of immense significance to us as it aligns with our philanthropic efforts in collaboration with the Jimmy V Foundation. The Jimmy V Foundation has played a crucial role in advancing cancer research and raising awareness for this vital cause. Through the Game Ball Run, we aim not only to foster the spirit of college football but also to generate funds and awareness for the fight against cancer.

We are thrilled to have the privilege to participate in the Diamond Bowl, an annual fundraising week that we have organized for over a decade. This event holds a special place in our hearts as it represents our most significant contribution to the V Foundation for Cancer Research. We are excited to share that our goal for this year is to raise $25,000, and we would greatly appreciate any support you can offer to help us reach this objective.

Together, with your support, we can make a substantial impact in the ongoing battle against cancer and continue to honor the legacy of Jim Valvano through both the Football Ball Run and the Diamond Bowl week as a whole.
