Support Me

As many of you know, Nina and Steve met after both losing their first spouses to cancer early in 1994. Jimmy V was publicly going through his battle with cancer at the same time they were, and his famous ESPY speech has resonated with Steve and Nina through the years. Nina would watch the replay of his speech every year on ESPN with tears in her eyes. Nina passed away from neuroendocrine cancer on Tuesday, March 12 surrounded by her loving family. It was her wish to designate donations to the V Foundation for Cancer Research where 100% of all donations go directly toward research and programs. Nina truly embodied the same spirit as Jim Valvano who told everyone "Don't Give Up ... Don't Ever Give Up!"®

We will never give up in the fight against cancer. Thank you for standing beside us, for celebrating and remembering Nina and for considering a gift to the V Foundation in her memory.
